Udaan: Serving since 2017
Child care institutes meant to serve as shelter homes for juveniles in distress have shown increasing child health issues . A lack of regulation and accountability have deepened the crisis. Children are in pain but cannot comprehend why. It does not mean that services provided by all the orphanages aren’t up to the mark. But, it absolutely demands for us to connect with them and intervene for their health improvement and development. It demands that health professionals go the extra mile to ensure healthy living of the young generation.

Where the wanting and desires end, with sharing, happiness begins! And hence to provide a concise breakdown of the issue and find solutions for the same, Rotaract Club of The Caduceus takes off with Project – Udaan to nurture lives of the orphanage dwellers by providing appropriate healthcare services. Through Udaan we intend to bring happiness in the lives of those young ones who are deprived of love and affection because they say, the mystery of happiness is, it grows when its shared and spread.

Through Udaan-Nurturing Lives, the intention was to bring happiness in the lives of those
young ones who are deprived of love and affection. The primary purpose of our project
was to target orphanages throughout Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane–Kalyan–Neral, Pune,
Nashik and Kolhapur and areas with lack of efficient health care. We have provided 233
kids at 5 different orphanages with a basic health checkup and advice on how to live a
healthy life through home remedies and/or referrals to government hospitals in the year
2017-18. We also provided them with basic stationary and entertainment programs
through contributions by our volunteers to make them feel happy and wanted by people of
this world.
