As per national census reports, adolescents that contribute to the overall development of the country constitute more than one-fifth of India's total population. Adolescence is a period of tremendous opportunity as well as of risk, marked by physical, psychosocial and social change.
Through RC Caduceus, Immunisation Camps were conducted as a way of improving child survival.
The WHO/UNICEF Extended Package of Immunization (EPI), that is the package provided by the
Indian government was administered to the children. Also, mothers were informed and educated
about the benefits of immunization. 8 such camps were carried out throughout the year.
The RC Caduceus camps were a wonderful opportunity to observe and learn about the preliminary screening done to detect cancer and counsel patients about the ramifications of their habits. Rotaractors were able to establish patient history and quickly quantify the effects of patient habits.
A remarkable project that has showed it’s might the whole year around in the Rotaract
Club of The Caduceus is Project Semicolon. This project is aimed at tackling mental health
concerns, fighting depression. Prophylactic messages were prepared and shared on various
mental illnesses.
