Cancer screening with Cancer Patients Aid Association:

The RC Caduceus camps were a wonderful opportunity to observe and learn about the preliminary screening done to detect cancer and counsel patients about the ramifications of their habits. Rotaractors were able to establish patient history and quickly quantify the effects of patient habits.

They were able to observe ENT and OBGY examinations done to identify any suspicious masses. Rotaractors were also introduced to the manner of counselling required to educate the patient on changing their bad addictions to good habits. It is only through awareness and an early diagnosis that cancer can becured. An early diagnosis was the main aim of the camp. About 2400 odd patients were screened over 11 camps.
