We all are very well aware that studying medicine in itself is never easy but we know it’s all going to be worth it! So taking frequent breaks is a healthy habit to remain mentally and physically fit. Hence, to promote mental and physical fitness we have launched ‘take a break’ project where frequent fun and adventurous activities are planned for our hard working medicos.

This time we had a very interesting outdoor activity and that was slack lining. As easy as it looks the participants realized that it is actually very difficult to perform. It was held on the 28th of March 2018,at August kranti maidan, Grant road.Slackline is an interesting piece of equipment causes nothing but confusion for the uninitiated.
One ties a line of heavy-duty webbing between two trees. Slack lining helps todevelop balance, Improves core strength, Improves posture, enables total body workout, improves stabilizer muscles ,Gets you outdoors, Improves focus, Builds proprioception, Rehabilitation & injury prevention , Develops coordination, Improves memory & learning and the list seems to be endless!

Our participants had an amazing time and realized what looked so easy wasn’t easy at all! It was a mixture of both frustration and fun to see the participants juggling and struggling and to later see the shiny smile of accomplishment.
