On the occasion of World Geriatric Day, The Rotaract Club of Caduceus organized a camp in association with Manavseva Sangh, Sion, Mumbai on 1st October 2017.

All the senior citizens living in the old age home gathered in the central hall. We started the day with introducing ourselves and explaining the kind of work the club does and the purpose of the camp in brief. Following, our physiotherapy volunteers approached them individually and attended to their physiotherapy complaints.

Our volunteers guided them by teaching them exercises based on their complaints to be followed on daily basis. Aprroximately 40 senior citizens attended the camp. We received a positive feedback from all our volunteers as well the senior citizens who encouraged us to conduct more camps to help them.

After a brainstorming sessions of various execises, our volunteers gave a talk on geriatric depression and how to tackle it in view of health promotion.

Towards the end, we played games with them, sung songs, danced with them. We listened to their stories and spent quality time with them.
