PROPHYLAXIS

Click the button below to view our full year's Prophylaxis coverage for 2017-2018:

We Caduceans belong to the medical field and work with an aim to treat and cure various diseases, but along with it we also believe that ‘Prevention is better than cure’.

Prevention also known as ‘PROPHYLAXIS’  can be best taken care of when the information is outreached to the layman to help create a better understanding about healthcare, injury prevention, emergency techniques, first aid, etc. Keeping in mind, we started composing a message about managing the commonly prevailing conditions in the society on weekly basis (wednesdays) to sensitize and apprise as many people as possible.

We also roll out informative and concise images attaching links to various helpful websites along with it. Our caduceans then circulate these messages to their non medico family members, friends and family. We also put up all the information across all our social media forums in an attempt to reach out to as many people as we can. Indeed, ‘ A stitch in time saves nine’. Database of prophylactic messages made on a website by Rtr Vinit Gada:  http://www.prophylaxisteam.wixsite.com

This project is carried out to educate the layman on health care techniques, emergency medical care, first aid, injury prevention, road traffic accidents, etc. This will help to bridge the gap between a doctor’s knowledge of what to do in these situations, and a layman sitting at home who is unprepared for when such a disaster strikes. As we kept progressing, we made prophylaxis messages open to the public. A whatsapp group was made and the invitation link was rolled out the members forum. All those who were interested in receiving the prophylactic knowledge got themselves added to the group. The whatsapp group was full in less than a month.

  • The members were requested to roll out the links to their non medico family and friends.
