A medical camp was held at Kamathipura; in the outskirts of Mumbai. A fun fact- kamathipura literally means full of hard work ; and hence a bit compromised healthcare has been noted. Hence, a medical camp was organized by our directors. The camp was held on 27th September 2017.

The camp was held at Apne Aap’s women collective, Kamathipura where about 50 girls and boys were examined. We our had volunteers come all the way selected through our online forums.
We intended to provide them with the basic health checkup and advice on how to live a healthy life through home remedies and/or referrals to government hospitals. As usual, we recorded their anthropometric measures and carried out general examination, vision testing, and dental checkup.
Deworming tablets were given to all for dwindling stomach infections if any. Towards the end, we had counseling sessions marking the basic check points of healthy living.
Also, not to forget, special thanks to Rtr. Shraddha More (chairperson of the project) for managing the camp so well.
