The year at Rotaract Club of The Caduceus was that of many firsts. Be it the constructive projects that were carried out or the young team on board. The Directors, most of them being new entrants to the Board, were brimming with enthusiasm to prove their mettle. The year started off with meetings filled with unique ideas for new projects. These ideas were discussed, improved and executed to the T.
The directors being new, needed help with work at times. It also gave the core a sense to train members that'd emerge as proficient leaders in the coming year. That's when a
seed of an idea emerged into the bright minds of Rtr. Rajmohan Seetharaman .
At Caduceus, he started a program called the Leadership Development Initiative (LDI). LDI
was an opportunity for potential and interested members to try their hands on the organising side of the club. Various world recognized days were listed down and the members were allowed to choose the topics of their interests. Similar minds were grouped together to work upon a project. These groups of members were given full fledged freedom of working upon projects of their choices.
Their ideas, a sense of freedom to work, a zeal to bring about a change and an opportunity given them by the club gave them a sense of confidence to come up with a project of their own. The directors guided the members whenever and wherever required.
This in turn trained the members to be better leaders for the future of the club. They also get well acquainted with the working of the club. The club, moreover, got a chance to help out many more individuals .
This service in true sense, means BY the People and FOR the people .
