It's Not Easy
Title: It's Not Easy

The way you take the train everyday
Lively, bustling, packed.
It doesn't take a genius to board it but
It sure isn't a child's play.
The uncle on the other side doesn't really know you but waives anyway
He is a short guy with salt and pepper hair
With specs on his nose and crossword in his hands.
He looks so confused sometimes
His eyes shine with recognition when he finally solves it.
The kid beside you doesn't really know to sit still.
Keeps bumping into you every few minutes
Always smiles when he does that
Says a simple 'sorry'.
You smile at him every day
His mother looks at you, her gaze pointy.
The college girl you see every day
Has a lot of make up on.
But today she isn't wearing any
She looks better somehow.
You realise how young she is
Even you were
Now, you look at your wrinkled hands.
Realise how time has flown.
Now your likes are different
Even your dislikes aren't the same.
But, you still look forward to
Boarding the train everyday
Lively, bustling, packed.
