FIRST AID WORKSHOP

Almost every day we hear that people are injured in various situations, especially traffic accidents. If you work with other people, have children or spend time participating in sports or other hobbies, these could result in injuries of various types. You never know when someone might get injured, and knowing what to do can save a person's life.
The first few minutes after an injury or medical emergency are the most crucial to determine the rate and duration of recovery. Hence, we believe that everyone must know the First Aid Techniques and as early as possible. Hence a camp was held for the kids of the Manav Seva Sangh Orphanage, Sion on the 26th of October 2017.

Important topics which need to be counselled upon were discussed as well their content in English as well as Hindi was made in a document. On the day of the project, all volunteers were briefed up regarding the topics beforehand, practiced and ready with the content.
Students from standard 1st to 10th were the target audience and were divided in 3 groups. A total number of 90 students were educated in the school. Each group was alloted a conductor and a demonstrator.
Topics such as dressing a wound, vomiting, sprain, heatstroke, neck postures, Sanitation etc. Demonstrations were carried out simultaneously with the seminar.

Towards the end of the session, a small Q&A session was conducted for each group to assess if the students have retained some of the workshop.
