The sedentary lifestyle of today coupled with ever-increasing stress and anxiety levels has led to whopping surge in the incidence of heart attacks, diabetes, stroke and other debilitating conditions. These diseases are no longer a quandary of the elderly, but have become commonplace even among the youth of today.

Do your move!- an innovative session organized by the Rotaract Club of Caduceus comprised of a bout of calisthenics followed by a breakdance workshop. The calisthenics session was very informative and enriching.

 

The participants gained an insight on how to personalize workout sessions according to their requirements and several myths were busted. The breakdance session was very convivial as all the participants danced on upbeat rhythms; learning toprock, downrock, power moves and freezes.

The participants thus realized the momentousness of exercising in a fun and fascinating manner. As Hippocrates rightly states: ‘If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, we would have found the safest way to health.’
