 Diabetes Check Up Camp

We all know Diabetes is a silent killer presenting with very vague symptoms and generally ignored by the masses. It is always better to prevent then to cure! The community service director of Rotaract District 3141 got in touch with the club president Rtr Vidhi Dave for a diabetes camp to be conducted in Sophia College. The camp was held on the 18th December 2017 at the Sophia College.

                On the day, the flow of the camp was discussed and  the volunteers were explained about their role at the camp. They were asked to carry their own material for the camp .

 

At the camp, blood pressure was assessed by RC Caduceus volunteers along with diabetes and retinopathy assessment. There were 126 people for blood pressure check up, about 129 people for diabetes check up and about 5 people for retinopathy.

​

                The project was held to test the people for the silent killer, diabetes in a camp open to all as well to assess and examine for the most common complication of diabetes – Retinopathy.
