“Happiness doubles when you share it with someone”

            We experienced this when we celebrated the Festival of Lights and Happiness with our beloved kids at the Shree Manav Seva Sangh Orphanage. India is known to be a land of festivals where DIWALI is one od the popular and the most celebrated festival.

Everyone is busy enjoying the festival with their family and friends but we often forget the family deprived section of the society. Therefore, the club decided to celebrate Diwali with the young innocent minds. The idea was to go one step ahead of the health checkups that are routinely done for the children and encourage the children to have some fun because of the festivities and holiday mood.

            We connected through our online groups and got in touch with the interested members and volunteers. The Diwali celebration was scheduled on the 24th October 2017. Everyone contributed in terms of ideas and resources to make the event a fun filled and rewarding one.

The volunteers spent time with the kids and bought and distributed gifts in their personal capacities. We played Games with all the kids. Dance and fun activites were organized for them.We gave them some snacks and also had some good times with them.As it was a Diwali Celebration with the orphanage kids,it was only fair to enjoy bursting fire crackers with them.
