A Cancer screening camp was held by the district rotary in association with CPAA at Godfrey clinic, Fort on the 27th September 2017. Cancer screening is essential the era where the mortality rate due to cancer is increasing. Both men and women were screened which gave them an opportunity to show a professional doctor which they would have delayed otherwise.

The general measures like basic history, anthropometric measures, general examination were carried out. We also had designated tables for specific systemic evaluation which included the ENT, ophthalmology and dermatology. Along with it procedures like PAP smear were also carried out. About 100 men and women were tested for any signs and symptoms for Cancer.

The patients diagnosed with Cancer were well counseled and were made to apprehend that Cancer is a curable disease. Our caduceans had an erudite day learning about the screening procedures and it also helped them to work on their future careers. Over and above, the patients were happy to know that they were being guided in this aspect that needs more attention.

A similar camp was carried out on 10th September at Goregaon, on 24th September at Andheri.
Our warms regards to Rtr. Divya M & Rtr. Shraddha More (chairperson of the project) for making sure that things were right in place on the day.
