We at The Rotaract Club of Caduceus strive to take healthcare where it is most essential. We aim to expand our outreach to all sections, all areas of the society and improvise the well being of our society by and large. A Medical Camp in association with Oculus was held at Cannossa School, Mahim on 15thFebruary, 2018.

Girls at Canossa School come from poor families who do not have access to good hygiene and proper medical facilities. Hence, medical camps are a medium through which we screen the kids for various diseases and guide them to proper treatment. Counseling is considered to be one of the best ways to prevent any disease in the community.

In the ambit of this project, around 400 kids were screened for various deficiencies and infectious diseases and were given 1-1 counseling for the same. A thorough vision assesment was conducted by Oculus and free spectacles were given to the needy. A total of 23 spectacles were provided.

The students were also counseled on various topics such as personal hygiene, nutrition, oral hygiene and menstrual hygiene under our ARSHEP program. The kids were given deworming tablets as prophylactic and therapeutic treatment for worm infestation. The urgent cases were referred to the physicians whose care was taken by parents and teachers.
