It is rightly said,’If you’re a blood donor, you’re a hero to someone, somewhere, who received your gracious gift of life.’ In an attempt to create awareness of blood donation amongst medical students, a blood donation camp was held at LTMMC, Sion, Mumbai on the 12th February 2018.

The donation site was set up in the college building and at around 9am donors began streaming in.They were 1st screened with anthropometry assessment and  hemoglobin being next in line.

If they were deemed fit to donate by the team, they were taken to the blood collection bed and blood collected. All the donors were awarded with certificate, refreshments  and a 'I am a donor’ badge for being generous and saving lives.

About 360 people were screened and counselled. We had donors from Mumbai, Kolhapur, Solapur, Pune, Karad. A whooping number of 250 bags of blood were collected.

We received an amazing feedback from the blood bank was they were eager to associate with the club once again in the future.
