We frequently go through bouts of living a healthy lifestyle and instantly decide to have a run in the spirit of being fit and healthy, but more often we fail to understand the little things that can cause varied types of injuries and unalarmed pain due to casual running. To requite and promote safety during running, ATHETOLOGY was haeld at Five Gardens, Mumbai.
The event was conducted in order to educate participants about the benefits of running and to enlighten them about simple methods to plan out their work out sessions. The event ATHLETOLOGY covered the basics of running including warmup, stretching, cool down, biomechanics, and how to plan out the run.
To assimilate better, we invited sports physiotherapists who graced the occasion and taught the volunteers about what type of footwear to use, how to plan out the diet and all the myths of working out were cleared out. The participants were then asked to jog for a kilometer using all the tips and teachings given to them in the session.
The response received from the participants was overwhelming and it was appreciated as an idiosyncratic event.
