UDAAN–Nurturing Lives! ( Anath Balakashram) is a Nashik based not-for-profit organization working with children from low-income communities in the field of education. They ensure that the children are academically well versed and we make sure that they are in the pink of their health. The camp was held in a village in the outskirts of the city Nashik on the 8th October 2017.

We have regular health check up camps on quarterly basis throughout the year with them. 22 girls and boys were observed under complete general examination , dental examination and physiotherapy this time. In accordance to our systematic routine health check up, deworming tablets were given to every child under the supervision of our volunteers. Children that required further observations were referred to Vasantrao Pawar Hospital, Nashik opd department according to their conditions. Later in the day, we had counseling sessions which covered topics like hand hygiene, oral hygiene, water borne diseases, nutrition, menstrual hygiene.

Donations were made by our kind hearted volunteers to buy the required necessities for the kids. We also conducted various activities like essay writing, singing, dancing etc where we rejoiced and enjoyed great talent these kids have hidden inside them. Towards the end, we distributed basic required items which included Dettol, handwash and liquids for bathing, Toothbrush and Toothpaste kits, Handkerchiefs, Crape bandages, First aid bandages, Sanitary Napkins, Diapers with lots of love from our side.
